Hello

My name is Julie Mamou and I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist providing therapy services in English and in French, in South-East London and online.

Julie Mamou

My approach to therapy

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist providing therapy services in French and English in person in Peckham, London, and online. I offer a relaxed and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences and support you to reach a deeper self-understanding, develop your resilience and overcome the challenges you may be facing.

As an integrative practitioner, I draw from a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities, allowing for a truly collaborative and personalised approach to therapy, tailored to your preferences and objectives. From exploring your past experiences to helping you come up with fresh, practical strategies for the future, I will work with you as a whole, complex individual, and adjust to your needs as they evolve.

I have a relaxed, friendly and informal approach to therapeutic work, and enjoy creating a safe, open, and collaborative relationship with my clients. I will be happy to support you in any of your therapeutic needs and objectives. I can support clients facing anxiety and depression, and struggling with work challenges, relationship difficulties, or pregnancy and parenting concerns. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures and identities. I have over twenty years of direct experience of the corporate world, and I am qualified as a coach. I provide both short and long-term therapy services.

My background

I was born in France, where I first studied Political Science, International Relations, and Media and Communications at the Institute of Political Science of Aix-en-Provence. I started my corporate career in Paris in 2005, gaining experience in both the public and private sectors. After moving to London in 2011, I continued to work for large organisations in International Affairs and as a Coach.

I retrained as a therapist, first at WPF and then at the University of East London, where I qualified as an Integrative counsellor. I am registered with BACP, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
